The Chilicon Power Microinverter

Chilicon Power has designed the highest output power microinverter in the world with built-in long-term reliability thanks to the use of the most reliable type of capacitors (contrary to some competitors that use electrolytic capacitors which are known to fail early). Thermal management is provided by design through the use of advanced Silicon Carbide Mosfet technology. The CP-720 can operate indefinitely at full output power in ambiant temperatures in excess of 75 C (170 F).

Our technology is highly scalable from a few hundred watts to several kilowatts which enables the quick introduction of new inverters to complement the CP-720 and CP-250E.

 

 

The CP-720 replaces large central inverters with small micro-electronics that attach to each solar panel. These devices, known as microinverters, allow each panel to operate independently, leading to significant improvements in energy production and adding a new layer of intelligence throughout the system.

 

 

 

The Chilicon Power System

 

Each Microinverter integrates with advanced networking technology and web-based software to enable new levels of intelligence and connectivity in the solar array.

Specifically, the Chilicon Power Microinverter System consists of the following components

  • The Microinverter that connects to each solar module and converts DC power to grid-compliant AC power
  • The Gateway that networks with each microinverter and represents the information on a nice 7" LCD display. It also transmits performance information to the internet for ubiquitous access
  • The Cloud software where our customers can monitor and manage their solar power systems 24 hours a day
